  1. Great post! I never use an outline. When I tried, my brain froze. I also thought it was illogical. If I have to create the story for the outline, why don’t I just write the thing?

    I like your pointers on urgency. Good info there! Thanks for writing!

    • Dear CW,
      I tried using an outline for my very first novel, but I kept changing the outline. Until I realized I was spending more time re-doing my outline than working on my book. Since then, I’ve let the characters lead me.
